Mandatory residential registration (Anmeldung) for everyone moving to Bern. Deadline: 14 days from the date of arrival.

Rental agreement or a letter from the landlord (Wohnungsgeberbestätigung).

Residence Permit
For nationals from countries outside the EU/EFTA — a valid permit (Aufenthaltsbewilligung).
